With profound sadness, we share the passing of former Sherwood City Councilor Linda Henderson on Friday, May 9, 2025.
Linda’s dedication to our community spanned decades, beginning with her pivotal role on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, where she contributed significantly to the planning and design of Snyder Park. Linda served 12 years on the City Council, elected in 2004, 2008, and 2012, and serving as Council President in 2013 and 2014. Linda was instrumental in the development of both Cannery Square and the Sherwood Center for the Arts. Linda’s impact can be seen throughout the community she loved. She will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Linda Henderson will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 3:00pm at the Sherwood Center for the Arts. Linda’s service will also be live-streamed. It can be accessed by directly typing lindahenderson.online in your web browser.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Sherwood Foundation for the Arts (https://sherwoodarts.org) or a dog rescue organization of your choice.
